Hi all

I have a specific question w.r.t canada visitor visa at nyc. I am planning to submit in person. I know that they give token and tell the date of pick up. Can I take the token at a later day than the date they say at the counter? Please those who went earlier guide me. I need to make my travel plans accordingly...

Yes, you can go on later date and pick passport. But you have to go on that specific time only when passport is being delivered.

Submit your docs and application on Tuesday and they will ask to pick up passport on Thursday.

Please let me know Dude..I have very urgent. Canada consulate NYC taking In-person visitor visa application? They need our latest pay stub also. I don't have right now can I applied with out pay stub??

Regarding documents needed for Canadian Visitor visa, We will need:

(1) Employment Letter

(2) Money Order ( http://www.canadaint...as/50_1_eng.pdf )

(3) 2 Photographs (35 * 45 mm)

(4) 6 pay stubs

(5) 6 month bank statements ( Direct deposit account) with some balance to prove you can finance your trip

(6) W2 ( Not Necessary)

(7) Form 5257

(8) Family Information form

(9) checklist on the top

(10) Passport

(11) H1B copy

In fact, I am going for this pretty soon.

You may need to carry all I20's, Student ID, OPT (if applicable), some bank documents, pay-stubs for on-campus jobs etc.

Better you verify all these with your International Student Counsil of the University.

Yes, I will check with my office too. I have not applied for OPT yet so I don't have any EAD.

I have an on-campus job. DSO told me to carry financial documents, transcripts and next semester schedule.

I have applied for canada's visitor visa in NYC. My cousin submitted my documents. But they didnt told anything about the passport collection time. They said passport will be mailed. Do anybody have idea, how much time it takes. And can i still go and request them to collect the passport. Please advise.

Day after tomorrow. If you submitted on Monday they will inform you come back on Thursday.
