aditya232
I drove a friend of mine to ottawa recently (last week). The drive is pretty good. Not a lot of traffic (when I drove from NJ). My suggestion is to check the weather first. We had to drive through a pretty bad snowfall for around an hour and I saw quite a few cars that slided down the road. Even if it snows, be patient stay in right lane and don't try to pass. If there is no snow, then there are no problems. Coming to immigration. They asked us the purpose of visit and I said she has an appointment at the consulate. That's it. He asked how long we would stay and we said one week tops. No need to lie to them. Good luck for your visa. Link to comment
sal4186
I am in Ottawa, drove here yesterday.. The drive is not bad. It took me 8 hours from Philadelphia. Old I94 should be given to Border Officer when you are returning back as they would give you a new one based on your VISA Stamp. Thanks. Link to comment
