Hyderabad Counslate Visa Dates for last week of Dec 2012 or first week of Jan 2013?

Does anyone know the current status of dates for last week of dec 2012 or first week of jan 2013?

I have booked my flight tickets to India for H-1b stamping around that time. I have started my h-1b visa process yesterday. I am told that dates open only 3 weeks ahead? any status on to it?

I am worried about the dates between the above mentioned two dates. Any insight on to it? Did anyone else book around the same time or planning around the same time?

Also, how much time does it take to get the visa fee receipt activated?
