samzkool Posted November 22, 2012 Report Posted November 22, 2012 Hi, Is it valid to be staying in the country without paystubs for about 3-4 months while h1b transfer papers are filed and pending a decision from the USCIS. Just wanted to make sure if waiting around wouldnt harm while the H1 transfer papers are being processed.
t75 Posted November 23, 2012 Report Posted November 23, 2012 I missed that petition was in works. Was it filed while you were still in status? If you were out of status, even if petition is approved, you will likely have to exit and reenter. PP will allow you to begin working sooner. The fee is far less than the salary you miss receiving.
