Original certificates and transcripts-H1 stamping-Mexico

Can some one please let me know if having original certificates for all of the educational background is a mandatory requirement or if having copies of them would work fine.

I understand it depends on the consulate and the consular officer but just checking to see if anyone has managed just with copies while having rest of the documentation in tact. Appreciate your response.

Notarized copies might be good I believe.
