kjnewbie Posted November 21, 2012 Report Posted November 21, 2012 Hi All, There is a question in DS-160 [Filing for H-1B Renewal stamping] that goes like - "Were you employed before?" I have been with the same employer from the last 4 years and my first stamping was also from the current employer. For this question should I list my current employer as one of the previous employements (up until the date of the first H-1B stamping) ? or is that just considered as current employment. If anyone has been in a similar position - renewing H-1B with the same petitioner, and if you have filled the form recently, please let me know how this question should be answered. Apart from the full-time jobs, do we also need to list internships, assistantships here? Thanks for the responses.
venkatakt Posted November 21, 2012 Report Posted November 21, 2012 i did my masters and i was working for the same employer since im on opt. i recently renewed my H1b . i answered "No" for that question.
sb1234 Posted November 21, 2012 Report Posted November 21, 2012 If you haven't changed employer then you don't need to ... If there is a different employer than the present then you should mention about him. Also, you don't need to list internships / assistantships. Good Luck
