Basically I'm on h1-b visa with valid stamping and planning for a vacation & returning US after my project end.Any input is appreciated! Thanks, Sam.

If you atleast get assurance from your employer in mail that you will be taken back after your vacation, you are good. Generally employers will say face to face that you can come back, but when your contract is over with client, then will go out of their word. Better get a client before you take a vacation
