fin.naresh@gmail.com
Hi All, is it mandatory to have the Annual salary same on LCA and Offer Letter, Employment verification letter? I recently got my H1B Amendment done. My total payroll ran for this year is lot more than the Annual salary on the LCA. is it something that VO can point out and ask why the payroll is more? If so what can be the good reason to cover the difference amount. Also, in the employment verification letter that I will take while going for stamping, can the amount in that letter is different than the offer letter? I am going to stamping next month second week. please help Link to comment
NewH1-B
I think the salary can be more than what mentioned on LCA, but should not be less . And yes you can have salary mentioned more in your current letter compared to offer letter. You can say you had a pay hike from employer if you are questioned. Link to comment

Vizablues
LCA amount means the minimum wage to paid in the area you work in....As long your salary is greater than the salary mentioned on the LCA you are fine...It should not be less than the LCA amount in any case...VO will not ask about it....If the VO asks why the salary is greater in Emp Verif letter than the offer letter then you can tell that you recently got a hike Link to comment
SAP2004
I hope it will not be a problem Link to comment
venkatakt
as long as the amount is greater than or equal to the one on LCA you are good to go. Link to comment

fin.naresh@gmail.com
Just to clarify myself, what annual salary I should be putting in the DS-160. is it the amount close to my paystubs? if so I have my payroll ran over 120K. by telling the 120K salary(3 digit salary), does it make any special attention to my case? Please share your thoughts. I am going to stamping in 2 weeks. Thank you. Link to comment
