Passport pick up in Mumbai after visa approval

My visa was approved under the new process the US consulate implemented Sept 26th. The consular office collected my passport but I didn't get any receipt from the consulate indicating I had given them my passport. Is that what other people experienced?

What is the procedure for collecting the passport after they stamp the visa?

Same with me. They told to collect the passport în 4-5 days. How many days did they tell you?

2-3 days. So far when I track the status by email, it says, "There is no status update available for the passport number submitted."

This week, the consulate was shut on Mon due to the issues in Bombay and shut on Thursday for Thanksgiving, so it could be up to next Friday for me to get my passport since the consulate says that you should get it within 7 business days.
