immihelp2013 Posted November 21, 2012 Report Posted November 21, 2012 Hello everyone.. I am currently with employer A and received an H1 B extension recently. I am in India right now and getting my extension visa stamped. Meanwhile, a transfer has been applied on H1 B to employer B. It is still pending. So, now is it ok to go to embassy for stamping with petition approved from employer A? does embassy has information about the pending transfer petition ? Will the visa officer ask me any questions such as why i am getting stamped for employer A though i will be working for employer B once my petition is approved ? Need suggestions.
t75 Posted November 21, 2012 Report Posted November 21, 2012 Wait for new approval notice. You cannot enter with A's papers if you intend to work for B.
metroguy Posted December 4, 2012 Report Posted December 4, 2012 A person can hold multiple H1B at a time, but has to work for only one employer at a time. Get ur H1B stamped with Company A and work for A until your H1B with B gets approved, then you can change your job to B
