invincibleruler Posted November 17, 2012 Report Posted November 17, 2012 Hi, My current company just started the process of filing my green card i.e. posting ads on job boards and all. I received a job offer from a non-profit company as well as from a profit company and both companies say that they can file my green card a year after I join. I just completed first 3 years on my H-1B visa so I don't know if it is worth it to join any of those companies and wait for another year for the green card to be filed? What is an ideal time to file the green card? and what would be the latest to file the green card at which point it is like a risk? Is there any advantage of filing green card through a non-profit over a profit company? I am sorry if this question had been posted before... I have to respond to the job offers asap so thought of posting this question here and in the mean time I will check out the posts on the forums as well. Any replies will be greatly appreciated. Thanks :)
