kalyan_ac
The fact that you qualify for EB2 or not depends on the requirements of the job. Are you with the same company back in india and here? Link to comment
sap_cp
Hi , Thanks for your Reply . No i worked in different company in india for 4 years . Now working in different company for past one year . Link to comment
JoeF
The JOB requirements determine the category. You could have a PhD, if the job only requires a Bachelor degree, the case would still be in EB3. Link to comment

kalyan_ac
I am a SAP consultant . is it possible if my employer is ready to file EB2 . Employer has to file for EB2/EB3. You cannot do it for yourself. As long as the job requirements meet your educational qualification and experience, your employer can file in EB2. Link to comment
chakrakr
The answer to your original question is , 5 years of experience need NOT be in US. It can be any where in world. However, apart from job requirement you need to keep few things in mind -- 1) 5 years experience should be progressive experience (for example programmer to Team Lead is progressive experience) 2) 5 years experience must be from employer(s) other than your GC sponsoring employer (there are limited exception though) Link to comment
