Hi

I am on my OPT now (valid till July 2013) and my employer has filed for H1B petition and I got I797B. Now, I am planning to go to India for visa stamping and came to know that attorney is in contact with USICS to change it to I797A (I don't know yet if they have filed an amendment). I have few questions

1) Is there any possibility to change from I797B to I797A?

2) I want to know if I can travel to India and go for visa stamping with I797B?

3) If they have filed for an amendment how long does it take for the decission.

Will really appreciated if anyone can answer these questions.

Thanks

Raj

 Hey Raj,

I am in the same boat. Did you find any reply/update from your employer and/or USCIS? What are you planning to do? My OPT is also expiring July 2013.
