L1 Visa extension is in process after submitting RFE. How long can one stay in US

Hi,

My L1A Visa extension is in process with the USCIS.

My current Visa and i-94 have expired.

I am in the 240 days extended window time which is almost getting over,

There was an RFE raised by USCIS and a response to the same has been submitted. In addition my company has converted this to a premium processing.

Please advise if i can still stay in the US beyond the 240 days if my Visa extension is still in process with the USCIS.

Is there any legal issue/binding with this. Please advise/guide
