Can we change the employer if we are in india

Hi All,

I had returned back to India on Feb1st 2012, later my visa extension has got approved which is valid till 2014, Dec. As there are no oppurtunities with my current employer and I would like to use my visa thru some other employeer on transfer basis to them and would make a travel to US now. Is it possible to change my current employer to make a travel to US from india.

Is your visa stamped too? or its just approved?

You can change job, and you new company will be able to apply for H1B, but it will be cap exempt, as you were already counted for the same.

Once that is done, you will be able to travel.
