Gap betweeb old visa expiry date and new visa valid date

Hi,

I am on H1b visa.

I came to USA on 14th Mar 2011 and was given I-94 till 7th Aug 2011 as my passport expiring on 8th Aug 2011 even though my visa was valid till 30 Sep 2012. My I-94 extension was approved and was extended till 13th Feb 2013.

I went back to India on 30th Mar 2012 and came back on 21st Jun 2012. This time my i_94 was valid till 30 Sep 2012 as my visa was getting expired on the same day.

My employer filed for my extension on 26th Sep 2012 and was upgraded to premium on 19th Oct 2012. My extension request was approved by USCIS on 25th Oct.

I received my petion papers today and I find that the extension is valid from 25th Oct till 11 Jun 2015. But what is my status for the period 1st Oct 2012 till 24th Oct 2012.
