Travel overseas before switching employers

I have been offered a new job at Company B and I signed the offer letter to being work on 12/5. I currently work for Company A and have not given my 2 week notice yet. I am in the process of getting the necessary paperwork together to send for the H1B transfer.

I have an overseas trip planned between 11/21 and 12/3. I have my current Company A H1B stamped on my passport and that is valid until 3/8/2013.

My question is, is safe to travel in this situation

I94 should not change from the time H1 transfer request is submitted till the petition is approved.
