My OPT got expired on 24 September 2008 but I worked on that day also and got paid from company. Is this going to create any problem in future? Currently, I am not in US and working in home country after getting laid off in August 2009. I have my H-1 B stamped in my passport. Your reply/comments are really appreciated. Regards. shandan Posted November 5, 2012 Report Share Posted November 5, 2012 If your OPT expiration is Sep 24th and you worked that day it should be fine. But what I am not sure is what advise are you looking for? Your are in your home country, how does your OPT in US affects your future there, nobody is going to come after you in your home country, even if you have worked past your US visa expiry date. Your stamped H1 means nothing without a job to go with it in US, so quit worrying about it. Link to comment
