L1 to H1B COS

Hi,

I've applied for L1 to H1 COS in April 2012 quota and saw the online status change to approved yesterday, waiting for new I94. Submitted my resignation to L1 company, they came back with better offer now to re-transfer my h1b , process my green card.

Say if both the companies accept is it possible to do the transfer immediately and process my green card?

Better check with attorney. Comments as per my knowledge - as its L1 to H1 COS and H1 visa was never issued, you should be on H1 status before transfer can take place.

Once the H1 has been approved , you can no longer work with the L1 employer.Its illegal.Since you are waiting for the papers (I797) you might be ok.For H1 transfer, you need to me in H1 status and provide all the proper documents for the transfer.
