blueie
I have started working in H1B for a consulting firm. And i have a got an offer from leading software company and they started my H1 transfer thru PP. They are asking me to join one day after they initiate the H1 transfer. (1) Is it illegal to work to new employeer before H1 transfer gets approve ? (2) Though they are assuring H1 transfer don't get rejected for them (based on the past history), Is it safe to do ? (3) What if h1 transfer gets rejected, Can i stay or work for any consulting company again ? Please share your thoughts on this. Best Regards, Link to comment
krialta
Once LCA is approved and H1B transfer receipt received, there is no legal obligation that would stop you from working with your new employer. H1 will be rejected if the role you are hired does not qualify for specialized skilled labor. As you stated its a leading software company, I would not worry about it. Link to comment
