Here is my wife's case, - She got H1B stamped in 2009 and entered in US on H1 in the same year - Later, she became my dependent and changed her status to H4 - She started studying this year and changed her status to F1 in Aug 2012 - Due to personal reason, now we are thinking about changing her status back to H4 - Currently she has H4 to F1 COS Approval. She also has earlier H4 approval which is expiring in Aug 2014 - We are also thinking about traveling to India next month. Question is, should we delay our travel plan to India and apply for her COS from F1 to H4 and get it approved first? Or can we travel to India, and use her earlier H4 approval in US Consulate to get H4 visa stamped? Thanks in advance. Link to comment
rrr2008 Posted October 30, 2012 Report Share Posted October 30, 2012 It is not necessary to do the CoS from F1 to H4, she can go to India and attend the H4 visa stamping with your H1 documents. Link to comment
