Travel to India, while H1-B transfer in progress ??

I working for a company & have a valid visa stamping until February 2013 (H1-B Expires in the month of February). I'm planning to travel to India in the month of December 2012 and will return back in January 2013 A different company planning to initiate H1-B transfer process in the month of November.

Will I have any problems for the H1-B transfer processing while I'm traveling to India ?? Did anyone had this situation before.
