H1-B transfer

Hi,

My employer filed for LCA (iCert) on Oct 3rd.

LCA status: Certified on Oct 12th.

Will employer has to file for H1-B after LCA is certified? How long it takes before I get H1-B receipt number and approval?

I am getting very nervous now. Please suggest...

Yes LCA is first step towards H1, but if you new employer is filing under regular processing it might take more time 1+ month or so..

your best bet is if your employer files under PP, you will receive result with in 2 weeks. One of my friend got in 6 working days.

@ms86: H1B transfer/extension in normal processing is taking 3 to 4 months now a days whereas Premium Processing takes usually less than 15 days.

Thanks for reply. So my employer is filling under PP. So my question is total time for approval is excluding LCA approval time? So i should consider 15 days from 3rd Oct or 12th Oct?

@ms86: You can't count 15 days from the date of LCA certified. Count should be from the date of receipt of your H1B petition with USCIS.
