PERM applied exactly 365 days before H1b expiration

Hi,

My 6yrs of H1b expires on Oct 16, 2013. I have applied for PERM on Oct 15, 2012. (DOL gave confirmation of application received on Oct 15, 2012). So i have exactly 365 days or 366 days if you include the end date. Assuming worst case scenario, that my PERM remains pending, will there be any problem for my 7th year visa extension. If so, are there any solutions. Your answer will bring me some peace of mind.

Ideally there should not be any problems.Depends from case to case.

Hi,

I have got 1 year extension based on my PERM from company 'A" which is pending for more than 365 days.

Now, can I move to another company 'B" while my PERM is still in progress. If yes, how do I get extension after my 7th year?

Can is get 1 year extension again based on my old company 'A's PERM or does the new company 'B' has to apply PERM it has to be approved before I can again get 1 year extension beyond 7 years..

can some one please help me here.

Not yet...I have not moved to the new company yet...It will be done in the next 15-30 days. I will keep you posted on the steps I took.
