vishelp123
Hi All, I am currently in L1b visa valid till Jan 2013. and my wife is in H1b visa till 2015 As L1b is getting rejected nowadays, can i apply L1B extn and H4 visa at same time (b4 my l1b expires) and work here legally. Will this result in rejection of both petitions? Thanks Link to comment
Attorney_23
In general, applying for an extension of one status and a change to another status at the same time is not a good idea. You should consult with an experienced attorney to review your situation and advise you on how best to proceed. Link to comment
vishelp123
Please help me in unserstanding if i will be in status in below case. My L1B visa is expiring in January 2013. I am planning to apply for H4 in december 1st week and L1B Extn during december last week. Attorney_23
What you are describing may be technically possible, but I do not believe this is a wise strategy. Please schedule a consult with an attorney to review your immigration history and provide you with your best options for proceeding. If you do not already have an attorney, you may schedule a consult with an attorney at the Murthy Law Firm by calling us at 410.356.5440 between the hours of 9:00am and 5:00pm (ET). Link to comment
