H1B Extension - RFE for SOW /Client Letter

H1B extension applied in PP Sep 20th 2012

RFE received on 6th Oct 2012

RFE to be responded in Dec 23rd 2012

Questions

As My project is getting over in two weeks, I do not have a valid SOW and Client letter for long.

My employer is ready to put me in a new project with a new client in new location.

I work for a India IT company direct employee ( like Infy,Wipro,TCS)

Can my employer relocate me to a new project while my ext petition is in process?

what documents would be required - my employer telling new SOW, client letter and a new LCA would be sufficient.

I am confused as people are telling some sort of H1B amendment is also required?

Please suggest how to proceed?

Anyone had similar case in past and what was their experience.
