Can I use my 2007 H1B ?

Dear All,

I have a 2007 H1B, got stamped for the same. But never travelled on the H1 Visa. Now I am in U.S. via my employer on L1B. I would like to use the existing 2007 Petition. Please let me know if I can use this to get a transfer from L1 to H1 or not ?

I have been dealing with similar case for my self last week. This is what my attorney suggested -

Since you got H1 starting from Oct 2007, you can apply for new H1 thrugh a new company for the next 6 years i.e upto Sep 2013.

you can change from L1 to H1 change of status any time you want....
