L1 visa and i-94 expired and RFE last date is Nov

L1 visa and i-94 expired and RFE last date is Noember 08, 2012. My company has decided to discontinue my RFE on November 8, 12 as they found my replacement, who is a US citizen.

When I asked about extension leave on December 01, 2012 for serving aparment lease my management and HR approve my request. However, when I checked with our office local attorny to validate if it is legal to stay after last date RFE he told me that I would need to remind him to cancel the request couple days before the RFE end date and he suggested leaving of December 01 after cacellation would not jeopardize my passport for future travels.

I would like to validate the same with the comapany who has more experiece with immigration matter. As said, would it be legal for me to stay till Dec 01, 2012 if the RFE is cancelled on time instead of keeping it unanswered.

Once I have the answer for above I would still to clarify some more personal and important details for which I would like to apply for paid consulation.
