ank_0522
Hello Everyone, I need the expert comments here. my situations is: 1. I am working from home on H1B in USA. 2. I want to move to CANADA and work from there (work from home) on H1B visa status. I have Canadian PR. Will this lead to any legal issues? 3. I won't mind to pay taxes in both the countries (will get some tax credit so its fine..). Please advise. Link to comment
applying4usvisa
provided there is designated desk for you at the same address mentioned on your LCA and you have policy document from your company that you can work from home should be okay. But "I think" (I am not an immigration expert or attorney) if Canada PR and working from Canada may create problems. VO might say then why not work in Canada?! Steer away from the work location question. Good luck. Link to comment
JoeF
If a person works remotely from some other country, the person is not on H1. H1 is a status that only exists while in the US. A person can of course work remotely from another country where the person has work authorization. International tax issues can be complex, though. Link to comment
