learner2009
Hi, I am on H1b visa and work at client side. My current visa expires on 14th Mar 2013 and i am planning to a do a short term personal trip to India from 15th Nov 2012 to 30th Nov 2012. So assuming if i am planning to return back on 30th Nov, and my current H1b visa and I94 has still 3.5 months remaining, will i have any issues getting back into US ... is it going to be risky considering only 3.5 months would be left ? Also fyi, It's unlikely that my co. will file for H1 extension before i travel to India. Regards Learner Link to comment
mitsu3000gt
I guess, its not a problem. I entered US 3 days before my visa (I94) expires. I entered Taiwan on the day of visa expire (10.00pm on expiration date). Link to comment

learner2009
No issues..just to be on a safer side, carry the Client letter in case they ask at POE. Hi OmShiv, Thanks for the prompt reply. Correct me if i am wrong .. the letter would state that this x person is working on son-so project and this project is supposed to run for another few years ? Do i have to carry any other document apart from client letter ? -Learner Link to comment
luck2u
I have a friend who reentered a day before your existing visa expires after completing a month vacation in India. Nothing to worry as you have 3.5 months which is pretty much time period. Have a safe trip!! Link to comment
