legal_immigrant
The immigration team in my company told me that the procedure for stamping H1-B visa has changed and they don't have much clarity. Does anyone have any info on this. I just read the following link http://in.news.yahoo.com/us-visa-process-2-days-224010707.html and they have mentioned we need to take 2 apts, 1 for biometrics and 2nd for interview. do we need to give biometrics at the consulate or can it be given in cities like pune and then have an interview in Chennai Thanks Atul Link to comment
luck2u
Biometrics appointment is available only in the cities where consulate/embassy is located. But you can have Biometrics in one city and Interview appointment in another city. Also, there are some exceptions for Biometrics appointment i.e., if you attended for any US visa on or after 2008 for previous visa appointment, you will be waived from Biometrics appointment.
