H1B - B2 - H1B with same employer

Im kind of tired working and would like to take off for couple months but stay in the US. I had interview with lawyer a month ago and he told me it is not very good idea when you are on h-b status. If you hold this status, you will have to work.

As an option I see the way to transfer to B2 and stay in the US legally, but I'm not sure how to explain it in cover letter to USCIS that I'm not planning to leave USA after B2 expires, but go back to H1b. Please advise.
