H1B - Short Term Travel

Hi,

I got H1B visa stamped from Chennai consulate on March 2012 and I haven't travelled to the US after that. However now I am planning to travel by 2nd week of Oct to attend a seminar/training.

Please help me on the below queries:

1. Since its been more than 6 months I got H1B stamped and not travelled yet, would there be any issues/questions I may face due to this at the port of entry.

2. H1B being a work visa, would there be any issues in travelling to the US with H1B for attending training/business meetings. I know B1/B2 visa is meant for such purposes.

3. Even though it is very short term visit, I would need to know if my employer should add me to their US payrolls during the time period whilst I am in the US.

You have to start working for the H1 employer if you use the H1 visa to enter the country.If you work for somebody else, you would be working illegally.
