H1 to H4 COS approval incorrect starting valid date

My H1 and I-94 expired on Apr 12, 2012. Applied for change of status to H4 on Apr 11, 2012. My COS was approved on Sep 19 2012. However, we received the H4 approval with the starting valid date of Sep 19 2012 the date it was approved.

Why was it issued the date that way and will this effect me anyway.

What is my status from Apr 12 to Sep 19 ?

Can I and should i correct it.

I have EAD and have pending 485 from Jan 2012.

You need not have to worry. The new I94 will get the day of the approval. You are on H4 from Apr to Sep as your application is pending and as your old I94 expired.
