L1 to H1b case - Can i start working on H1b from 1st Oct 2012, when my H1b is still in processing ..?

My employer says that I can start working on H1b even if I have not received the Approval notice.

Also, my employer has requested a PP in my case on 24th sep.

I am on L1b visa and have applied for H1b in 2013 quota.

Please let me know....

It is always safe to start working on H1B once it is approved when you applied for H1B on COS (Change Of Status).

You can only work once it is approved..
