H1 B Ammendment or Refiling

Hi

I am on OPT - My OPT ends in September

I have filled my Fist H1 in April and i got approved for 3yrs with xyz client and now in july i moved to different client ABC and my employer says i have to file new H1 instead of Ammendment

It is not enough if we file Ammendment or do i need to file like new H1 as i have moved to new client before starting of my H1

Please consult an immigration lawyer coz as per my opinion you only need new LCA and H1 Amendment
