Old company name or new company name in DS 160 after acquisition

Hi All,

I am planing to go for my h1b visa stamping in November. My company recently acquired by another company. However, my job duties, and position are same. New copmany is picking up all the liability of the old company. Also, new employer is going to provide all documents related to merger. My original h1b petition was filed by old company, hence, on aproval notice (i-797) old company is listed as a name of petitioner.

My question is what should I specify in DS 160 - new company name or old company name? Your input will be appreciated.

Hi, one of my friend is in same boat. His company is acquired. If he get any information regarding this, will post.

Meanwhile, did you check with your company lawyer, they should be able to give you directions?
