Need information about H1 B transfer before working with any company

Hi Guys,

This is my first post here. I have two questions listed out below:

1. I have recently got my H1 B approved filed by consultancy X and now I am eligible to work from Oct 1, 2012. However, I have got a different opportunity from company Y and they are ready for H1 Transfer. So my question here is, since I don't have any pay stubs from "X", can company "Y" get my H1 transferred ?

2. Suppose If I don't start working with "X" neither with "Y" and keep on waiting for opportunity with company Z, can company Z easily transfer my H1, without any pay stubs, even after considerable time has been elapsed from Oct 1, 2012 ?
