L2 to H1 conversion- Work Status

Hi,

Am currenty on L2 EAD.My EAD is expiring on October 4th 2012.My empolyer applied for my H1 and converted to premiuim processing last week.I am still awaitng approval.My spouse is also converting to H1 status from Octover 1st 2012.My spouse has got the H1 approval already.

Meanwhile i have few questions,

1) In Case my decision takes longer than October 1st , am i permitted to work.?

2) Since my spouse will no longer be on L1 from Oct 1st can i continue to stay in the US as i have no valid status.?

3) When my employer converted my application to premium Last week the USCIS status was "initial Review".When i check today it has gone one step backward to "Acceptance state".

Is this normal? What do we expect here

4)What is the normal Premium Processing times.

Can someone please share your opinion/thoughts.

My Premium Processing was accepted by USCIS on Sept 10th.Its close to 15 days now and am still awaiting approval.Will i be allowed to work after Sept 30th.
