Cap Gap Expires before H1 - B Approval

Hi,

My company filed H1-B in April, and I received RFE on August 7th, replied back on August 28th. As my response is still under review, and on top of it my OPT got expired on August 8th. Now I am on cap gap extension till September 30th. What happens after after September 30th. I cant work. Am I allowed to stay in US till my H1-B got approved.

Since ur application is still under process, i guess u can keep working. else best bet is to switch to PP.
