Applying for H4 while H1 is in process

Hi,

I work for an Indian company and they have filed for my H1 visa and my status still says "Initial review". I am getting married this October and finding all ways to travel to USA along with my husband. My thought is to get the H1 approval notice from my present company and travel in H4 visa as I came to know that if I have my H1 approval notice I can file my H1 in a special quota. B

Now, My question is

If I go for H4 stamping in October what will happen to my H1 visa? Considering the status to be

a. Initial Review

b. Approved

Please respond as early as possible . I am very much confused as to what to do?
