ram_sj
Hi, My visa was stamped with a previous company i worked for till April 2013, i changed my job beginign of this year (no gap between employment, all records are good). I'm travelling end of this month for 3 weeks and coming back on OCT 17th, I have exactly 6 months validatiy of my previous employer H1b visa during entry 1. As i read this forum, i found its possible to use previous employer visa, I want to make sure its ok with my case as well, I will be carrying all papers (797, lCA, Job Verificaiton Letter, Pay Slip) ? 2. Did anyone travel recently with previous employer h1b visa? any issues in port of entry ? Thanks Ram Link to comment
shandan
What you heard is true, you can travel with the old stamping, and carrying your new I-797 and all the other documents. But you need to be ready to answer the question why you did not get the new visa stamped when you went on vacation and had a chance to do so, they might or might not ask this, but be prepared.
