muse_muse79
Hi, I am currently working as a Director in a foreign branch of a US company. My parent company in the US is planning to apply for L1 visa and eventually for Green Card for me. They also mentioned that I will need to work in L1 for one year before they are allowed to appy for Green Card. Now my question is, is that a mandatory requirement to have that one year gap between L1 and Green Card or they can actually apply for the green card much earlier. Thanks, Nikhil. Link to comment
JoeF
That seems to be a company-specific rule. Link to comment
Attorney_23
Joe is correct, there is no immigration law requirement that employee be in L1 status for 1 year before applying for a green card. Link to comment
