OurAccount Posted August 31, 2012 Report Share Posted August 31, 2012 Hi, Can someone suggest below situation Person X is on H4 and got H1B in 2012 cap. H1B is valid from october2012. Meanwhile X had travelled to India for family reason in June 2012 and came back again on H4 in July 2012. Question is can x work on H1B from October 2012 with out applying change of status(H4-H1) as it is effective from Oct. Link to comment

I am currently on H4 and intend to get an H1 but having a hard time finding someone who is willing to do this transfer. Would appriciate any assistance. Thanks Link to comment
