H1B Transfer - June 2012 - VSC

Hello

My new employer filed a H1B transfer on June 5, 2012 in VSC. It is still shows as Initial review.

My new employer is not familiarized with H1B process and they feel that attorney is not giving correct update.They want me to contact VSC and check the processing. I am not whether I can call the customer representative.

Please advise.

You cannot call them . Either your employer or the Attorney should call them.

I tried calling them when I got an RFE but they did not answer any questions and asked my employer or attorney to call them instead of me

from what i understand....there is a quite a bit of backlog...they are working on applications from May?

Is it based on approvals from April or May?

My H1B extension was also filed in VSC in June and it's still shows initial review.

FWIW - You can start working for your new employer upon receival of the receipt notice.

from some previous posts it seems that the office is still working on applications that were filed in early may...

VSC is running slow. My regular case was pending for 4+ months, so the attorney's office called VSC and they agreed its taking long and assured a disposition in 30 days. Well my wife was about to travel to India (actually last weekend) so will I in November end. I went with peace of mind and upgraded to PP. Of course, the case got approved within a week.
