uak
Hello, I am planning on changing my status from H1b to F2 visa. In the process of filing for COS, I need clarification on following questions a) Is e-filing or online filing possible for COS (H1b -> F2) ? b) If we are supposed to do paper filing, to which service center a Chicago,IL resident has to file? c) Am I acknowledged by USCIS, once the paper filing has been received by appropriate service center ? Thanks, uak. Link to comment
Attorney_10
The USCIS website has very detailed instructions on how to file Form I-539, Application to Extend/Change Nonimmigrant Status, including information on where to file, what types of I-539 may be e-filed, and how USCIS will update the applicant with the receipt notice. In addition, as immigration forms are complex, it is recommended that you consult with an experienced immigration attorney to discuss the specific facts of your case. Link to comment
