H1B issued - H4 still in process - both went together for interview

Hi Folks,

Today on the Chennai consulate website , I see my visa got issued. I also got an email and an sms saying my PP has been sent via Blue dart. The email indicated just my HDFC receipt number. I went along with my wife and they took her passport too. When I try to track PP of my wife , it still says in process at US consulate. As I am the principal applicant , I don't understand why my wife's PP has been withheld. Can you please kindly update me with your valuable inputs on this urgent subject matter? Appreciate your time and help.

I have quite a complex case -

My husband is working in US on OPT which will expire this November 2012, he has got his H1b approved but its not stamped yet. His H1B will activate from October 2012.

We got married in February 2012, and I tried for F1 twice and got rejected. Now i am planning to try for H4 visa.

Can u please suggest me if I should take the H4 interview just after my husband's H1B activation or after 6 months of my F1 rejection?
