Starting GC process

Hi,

Could you please let me know how should I count my H1 years in total.

Sep 2005 to Dec 2006 - 16 Months US in L1B Visa

Jan 2007 to May 2009 - 29 Months back in India

Jun 2009 to Oct 2011 - 29 Months US in L1A Visa

Nov 2011 to till date - 10 Months US in H1B Visa

1. Should I count as 55 months in total without ignoring my 29 months in India. This means I need to start my GC ASAP.

or

2. Should I count as just 39 months in total by ignoring my 29 months in India and starting my tenure count from Jun 2009. This means I have sometime to start my GC process.

Few say that my stay in India resetted my stay in US and starts the count only from Jun 2009 and few say, it starts from my 1st visit Sep 2005

Please clarify.
