Need help on H1B Validity....

Hi Guys,

This is CAKC.I got my H1B in the month June of year 2007 with validity till Aug-2010 through a company and didnot get a chance to come to USA.Later i moved to another company and got the H1B transferred from earlier company to the present in the year 2012 and last three months back i came to USA on this H1B.

Now i would like to know whether USCIS count the duration right from Aug 2007 for counting 6 years on my current H1B Visa or will they count only the physical stay at USA?Am i still eligible stay in USA for 5 more years using the same H1B visa by extending my Work Permit?

Please help me on this.

Only your physical stay in the USA is counted, you ask for extension for the days you weren't physically in the country.
