Urgent-H1 renewal after 6 years

I am completing my 6 yr on profit h1 in sep 2012 and I got non profit h1 for next 1 year

Can I work on non profit h1 till sep 2013 for 1 year and then get new h1 without staying outside of USA?

or

Even if I work on non profit h1 till sep 2013, I will have to stay outside of USA since oct 2013 for a year and then I can get new profit h1?
